Humus...can it kill?

I'm not a vet, but from my own experience I've let my bird try hummus without harm. Hummus does have a lot of fat and some salt, so you'll want to limit it to really small portions.
Hummus traditionally has the following:
Chickpeas
Garlic
Tahini (ground sesame seeds mixed with olive oil)
Olive oil
Lemon
Salt
Paprika

Mmmmmm now I want to make some. 
Alcohol, avocado, caffeine, chocolate, garlic, milk products containing lactose and onions should not be fed to your feathered friends, though small amounts of cheese, cottage cheese and yogurt are usually OK…..
The problem with salt is that birds do not sweat & it's hard for them to pass salt out of their bodies, but contrary to popular belief, birds do require and seek out salt sources in the wild.....

I make my own homemade Hummus and leave out the garlic and tahini. My birds love it dipped onto a carrot or broccoli. I also make my own pita chips and will give them some hummus on the chips also.

Thanks again to all the new replies- i have all the dangerous food list memorized lol, but now i know making it w/o those certain ingredients first, but then i'll add them to my portion, that way his lil beak stays safe.
