hormones?

At what age would a quaker get hormonal? My not quite 1 year old Binky has been acting strange lately,he even bit the blood out of my best friend last night,he NEVER acts that way...he's been grumpy.:20:

Quakers reach sexual maturity between 12-18 months, so yes, Binky could have been acting out because of that, OR he was simply either overstimulated or perhaps just tired.

I'm not sure at what age quakers become hormonal (but I believe Wendy), but have you thought of the possibility he's jealous of the new amazon?

As Wendy said, Binky is the right age for hormonal behavior, but quakers are known for being territorial around their cages, they can also be very possessive of who they perceive as their human. I highly recommend Mattie Sue Athan's, Guide To The Quaker Parrot. Quakers are wonderful birds, but without training their behavior can get completely out of hand.

Honestly I think he was jealous of mine and my friends interaction..she hugged me,sit with me etc..etc,.and he was watching..
