Today it was finally time to go pick up Calvin, he's been home a few hours now and is really settling in. He sat on one perch for a few hours but he has now started exploring his cage, he loves shredding the bark off of his perches, I'm glad I left the bark on now. When the local lorikeets started their flock call and flying off to their perches for the night he joined in and danced around his cage. I was out when the cockatoos flew over so I'm not sure how he reacted to those.
He steps up for me and let's me scratch him and he's been licking my fingers. He has also eaten some food which I am happy about because it's different to what he was receiving at the breeders. His nails seem a bit sharp and long so I may have to trim those.
To my surprise he's even had a blood test and been tested for any pathogens, he is a healthy little bird.
