Two houses

I'm waiting on my baby quaker to be weaned. Should get him within a week. But I have a question. I have two homes where I spend about equal time. And two cages to house my bird. Both are large and heavy cages that once housed a pet crow. I will use a small travel cage to transport him, about 3 hours per trip.

This worked well for a pet crow. He enjoyed travelling and didn't seem to mind having two cages. It's also working ok for my budgie although he seems to prefer one house over the other.

I'm more worried about the quaker because they seem to form a bond with their cage. From what I've read they like the cage a certain way and sometimes become aggressive about it. Both the cages I have are much too big to transport.

Also, I hope to bring him to the office with me. There's no cage there yet but there could be. Or I might just bring a perch.

So... Do you folks think I should be worried about this situation? Or being a baby bird growing up in two places should get him used to it? Anything I can do to prevent problems before they occur? Do others bring their quaker along wherever they go?

By the way, the crow went everywhere with me. He was rarely out of my sight. A crow can be tethered however and isn't tropical so the weather didn't bother him. Though we didn't go out in extreme cold he often played in the snow. A crow is an ideal bird for me, too bad they are not legal pets.
