Poop ?

The two Quakers that I rescued has white very wet poop. I was just wondering if that is natural for them or is it something that might be missing in their diet. They came to me being a seed junkies and I'm trying to get them to eat pellets, fruits and veggies with no luck.

Could you possibly get a picture? Have they been to the vet since you rescued them?

I will get a picture of it soon. I just cleaned their cage. No they have not been to a vet yet. I have not found one in my area yet.

I'm happy to say that they finally ate some cooked veggies.

If you can't find a vet, at the very least get them tested. You can get a retrieval kit and order a full panel from avian biotech. Better safe than sorry!

Now that I talked about their poop they are not having the big white wet ones. Now its just white smaller kinda of reminds you of the birds outside poop.

Thank you for the info on the kit I will look them up and order the kit.

Quakers are notoriously opposed to change, your seed junkies probably won't be too thrilled with a healthier diet, but persistence pays, keep offering and they will come around. Softening their pellets by soaking them in water with a little 100% fruit juice added for flavor may do the trick. Both my quakers tried steamed vegetables before they were willing to try raw ones. Diced or shredded vegetables are usually more appealing than larger chunks.
