It's been a long day getting everything done this morning, then driving a little over an hour one way to get the cage, bringing it back & getting it all set up for him.

I was going to set Zilla up in the play top just to see if she might like it better, but she did the whole Zon "It might eat me if I go in there" thing, and I was too tired to argue so he got the play top.

Zilla did check out the play top part while I was setting it up, just to make sure it was parrot worthy I guess. She enjoyed playing on the top, but there was no way she was going inside!

Now they both have to be locked inside their cages cause she won't stop going over and climbing on his cage and I was worried about toes getting bitten, so they can just sit and talk to each other...I just wish they would talk a bit softer.

Ok here's the pics I promised...

Very nice! That should keep both of them happy!

Very sweet of Shirre to loan a cage to to Kick.

LOL so Kick ended up with the cage yet zilla still wants to play on top of it hahaha!! You know-- maybe if you attach a branch to the top of her cage, you can make it a "play top cage".

How does he like the extra room he has now??

I'm beginning to wonder if he had a very big cage at his old home. He seems in awe of it and doesn't seem too sure where he should perch, or if he should just hang onto the side, or maybe he should sit on the edge of one of the food dishes (which are so big he almost falls in trying to eat)

I thought of attaching a branch to the top of Zilla's cage, but she demands to be covered at night, so I'm not sure how I could cover it with a branch on top (I have a hard time covering it with nothing on top)

I'm gonna leave a night light on in the corner of the living room tonight, just in case anyone has a night fright...Zilla never has in the 10 months I've had her, and he didn't in the back room in a small cage, but since Zilla's cage got rearranged and he got a whole new one just a few hours ago...

Zilla looks intrigues and Kick does look rather unsure. Poor little guy, a least he lucked out flying in the right tree! I bet they'll become friends (even if just through the bars).

Zilla does not like her new neighbor at all. She wants to chase him away. But at least she isn't screaming at him this morning :D

I'm going to re-arrange the living room today to give them a bit more space between cages, I might be able to give them another foot or so, but that's gonna be about it in my limited space.

He is feeling better about his new found condo this morning. He dove right into breakfast so fast he almost fell in the bowl. He is now very busy beating up all the toys. He sure is a busy bird compared to Miss Zilla who would rather sit and watch the world go by outside the window.

Ohhhh no screaming, thats definitely progress. I guess she realizes this guy is there to stay, and got tired of hearing herself complain. haha :20:

Kick seems like he is a very active bird, and has settled in nicely. Beating up his toys is a great sign. Whats his noise level like? Is he talking at all? I love quakers, I can't wait to hear more about him. :D
