All my rescues: Pepita, Rocky and Eva, my Quaker Parrots Clover and Sweet Pea, YNA Willie Buttons, and TAG Coca.
..and an early Christmas present from Sweet Pea, a.k.a. Mr. Peabody:

On December 19, 2014 I adopted this wretch of a Quaker, with huge bleeding sores on his legs, barely any feathers on his back and wings, no feathers on his front and belly.......and a huge desire to commit suicide by self-mutilating himself into massive blood loss.

On December 19, 2015 Sweet Pea/Pebaody is collar free, no sores, no bites, wings completely covered with feathers, displaying a nice Quaker 'collar" of beautiful featheries :)

The belly and the legs will probably be "nekkid' forever, but that's ok. Love makes a difference! Two out of 3 wretches are doing well, what more can I ask?

Clover my first rescue still insists on walking around topless....every shred of feather on her chest is just simply gone the second she discovers it. My present to Clover for 2016: a soft and cuddly home-made collar. She's tried it already and can even FLY with it (YAY), it "only" prevents her from ripping out feathers. She can move around normally, but WON'T because she insists she can't stand, eat, move, or anything. Typical girl.... :)

May your 2016 be full of love and happy parrots!

Wow! Your birds really want you to have a great christmas this year!

You've really made exceptional progress with your loves. I'm so happy for all of you. I know how beautiful those newly grown feathers around a quaker's throat can be. Great job, Sweet Pea/Peabody. Sounds like Clover is doing really well too. Hugs and happy holidays to you and your special flock.
