And, we wonder why several States band the Import of Quakers into their States. Structures like this are built onto of Power Transformers, etc... The results is fires and hundreds out-of-power for as long as a couple of days.

Still love the Videos. Thanks!

Thanks for posting the videos, Chris! Gotta' love the little green architects!

It isn't all that common for pet quakers to build, most of the ones that do are males which makes sense, in the wild the males are responsible for the outside of the nests. Have you offered sticks, straws, zip ties, etc., to Peter Pan?

I love TU Electric's beautiful solution.

Yes Peter Pan has tons of building material and Ive even tried building some bits of a structure myself just to show how to get started but Peter Pan just isnt interested and I always wondered why until now as you have answered this puzzle for me Peter Pan never built a house and its because Peter Pan is a girl not a boy Quaker...silly me she must have been none too pleased with the half built structure I provided her with LoL :) I loved Chris's videos...as to them building on the power lines well I'd live with the power loss to have them flying wild here...we do have one semi wild flock of Quaker parrots in Co Wicklow here in Ireland who grew in numbers out of a handful of Quakers who escaped out of an aviary. Im so glad that flock survives and thrives in the wild here. I LOVE Quaker Parrots ;)

Hehe, Harry would like to let Peter Pan know it's perfectly okay to, 'just say NO', to building! My male quaker constantly tries to encourage his flock mates to participate in his building efforts, he takes sticks to Harry and drops sticks on both of us from the air. Poor Sammy is probably very disappointed that all his friends' building skills are severely lacking.

It's lovely that you have a wild flock in Co Wicklow, are you close enough to visit them?

Sadly no but when I went to Wicklow some time ago they were top of my list once I heard that they existed :) It was really cool to see them. Fabulous sight :)
Quakers have a dimension all of their own I believe that no other parrot has....and I am not at all biased hee hee :)
