Good Day,
My wife and I just returned from a 7 hour road trip with our boys to pick up two green quakers. They are named Ziggy and Zoey. They are 6 months old and currently caged together in a cage that is on the smallish side. Tomorrow we are going to pickup a cage that is 3x2x5. I will try to post pics tomorrow. Cant wait to show yall our new family members...

Thanks for all the replies. Today we have church, then picking up the new cage, coming home to get Ziggy and Zoey, and Mr. Sir (cockatiel) to get wings clipped) and get some new toys!!! Then clean and disinfect the cage, put the toys in and intro them to new habitat. Should be interesting to say the least!!! Can't wait...

Well, alot of research has gone into these little guys, lol. We were expecting to get two tame hand fed quakers and ended up with two bonded quakers that want nothing to do with us since they have each other. After discussing the situation with my wife and family we have decided to place Ziggy in a friends home that has experience with Quakers. I figured it would be best to seperate them sooner than later and know my friend will take super care of Ziggy. I feared that they would be calling for each other but 15minutes after seperated they both acted like different birds. Both now interact with the humans in the house and accept food via hand. We will be keeping Zoey and look forward to a long wonderful life together. As soon as I figure out the pics I will post...thanks all...

Not sure if it was the right thing to do or not but, Linda caught Zoey from her cage tonight and took her into our room. She stayed inthere calmly talking to Zoey until she would stand on her finger/shoulder and then worked on step up for a few minutes telling her how good she was when she did it. Then she loved on her and let her go back in her cage. Is this ok what we are doing?

Here are a couple pics
