I believe one of my parrot's perches are too low

Timmy's been acting strangely the past week. His cage is behind a window, and near the front door. I've observed him to have put his claw up and sort of nibble on it for a few seconds. His cage has 2 perches and also water and food bowls that he can get to. I will attach a picture of the cage placement in a few hours, it's 4:08 my time. I'm kind of worried that I may be the cause because I use crutches to get around now.
EDIT: The reason for this post is because I think the stick that is one of his perches may have just moved down a bit from weight.

Please go to the Amazon Forum and read the Sticky Thread Titled: I Love Amazons - ... The Thread is huge and contains numerous Segments that you may find helpful. At this point, look for the Segment found on page 8, which has Segment 22, Cage Setup 101 Page 8.

Just because a cage may come to you will the perches found in specific locations does not mean that they are in the correct location for your Parrots needs. Nor are they likely the correct size or type. Commonly, the perches provided are undersized and likely dowels. Replace with wider, natural wood style branches.

Here's a few different cage set ups designed for three different Quaker parrots.

These cage set ups were designed for my Harry, an adult female prone to plucking. She prefers an uncluttered cage with plenty of preening toys.







This is Sammy's favorite cage set up, he's an adult male and a builder, he's a big busy boy, he likes larger perches and plenty of building supplies.



Sammy and Harry occasionally trade cages (spaces) for a few days of their own free will.

This flight cage was set up for a hand fed baby quaker with a botched wing clip, compliments of the breeder. I didn't realize he had been clipped at all until after I adopted him. His cage was set up to help him navigate easily. He is almost ready to graduate to an adult cage but he's pretty happy with his baby cage for now.
