Need Guidance

Me and my wife would be grateful if anyone can provide us a little tips regarding an issue.
we recently a new member in our family, as I got an quaker parrot (Coco) just 2 days ago. It is around 9 weeks old ( hand fed). I gave him a big cage and lots of toys and also hand feeding me twice daily and also he is also eating by his own. I simply have a query, whenever me or my wife is letting him out, he is jumping towards the window and sitting there and trying to fly and hit the glass. SO I am really worried. We are loving him so much and taking care of him, giving him fruits, veggies, pellets and also seed mix with pellets and also hand feeding baby formula. What should I do? if you can kindly guide us. and about how many day will it usually takes them to get accustomed to the new home. I got that baby cause he had a cut on his beak and no one was taking it. so I requested the shop owner to give it to me. he is really sweet and too scared. I m worried. If anyone can kindly guide us with your useful tips, we will be indebted.

thank you
Soumya and Twinkle

Congratulations on your baby! Babies have a learning curve, and he probably isn't used to space and freedom. You can take him on walking tours if the house, and tsp on walls, windows, show him let him besk them if he will. It's going to take time for him to learn. You can try taking him to a bedroom and working , feeding, interaction there. Then back to the cage. Maybe put tape on window to help him understand. I kept my baby in a smaller cage at first, but he quickly became sgilo enough for his big boy cage. This is a time when they are fledging and learning to fly, I hope he is not clipped because this is an important stage!! Like I said I let mine fly around in the bedroom with lots of soft landing while he was a crazy kid.
