The Quaker (Petey) we have now was my fiances birdand doesn't like me. He bites and attacks me whenever possible, especially when near his cage or my fiance. When the bird is sitting near just me on the couch he lets me pet him, unless I whistle then he freaks out lol.

We would like to get another Quaker. My only hesitation is that Petey will teach the new bird to dislike me as well.

I was hoping you can help me with a few questions...
-Will this happen?
-What can I do to prevent it?

Also when my Fiance was growing up he had a cockatiel with Petey. Petey would pick on the cockatiel.:( What are the chances of Petey beating up the new bird?

It all depends on how old the new bird will be. If he is a baby then I would say yes, he will learn the bad habits. If he is an older good hearted bird then he might teach Petey good things.

Will they get along? Nobody can answer that, it is really up to them. Be prepared to have 2 cages etc.;)
