So Nimbus has developed a rather wicked sense of humour. He loves to sit on your shoulder and groom your ear. Will do this with anyone in the house that he knows. His favourite thing in the world at the moment is to lull you into a false sense of security by being sweet and gentle. He then sticks his beak as far as he can into your ear and screeches. As soon as you pull away he sits and chuckles on your shoulder. Unfortunately he has picked up my laugh which I have been told is an "evil" laugh. The classic muahahaha villain laugh.

First time he did this to me it left my ear ringing for about an hour. He has since learnt that if he is not so loud we'll just pull our heads away rather than put him in his cage or on the play gym. He doesn't do it all the time maybe 1 in 10 times but it's certainly a memorable behaviour.

Do any of you Quaker owners out there have birds that like to pull similar pranks?

So awesome I love it!!! Too funny!!!

My quaker Pikachu sticks his beak in my nose, because I laughed the first time he did it, now he does this and he too laughs. I hate it!! But it does make me laugh.

Also I used to pet sit an African grey , lovely house isolsted out in the marsh with huge windows no curtains, so at night spooky as heck!

About midnight or 1 am the parrot would holler out. Who's THERE!!! The first time I jumped outta bed turned on all the lights and he laughed and laughed! He did that every night I stayed there , anytime I stayed the re!! I never got out of bed again but he'd holler then laugh a creepy laugh. Ugh!!! My friends swore he never did this to anyone else.... just scary me!@ he had to wake himself up to pull this prank !!

Further proof that parrots definitely have a sense of humor-- and sometimes it's a twisted one. :D

I've been told that Nimbus is a male but no DNA certificate. It's possible that there was once a certificate but it was lost in the change of addresses that he has been through. We think we are about his 5th or 6th home in his 3 years. Previous owner had him for 3 weeks before we got him. He has a few bad habits but nothing unbearable except the screeching in ear at full volume. That left me with my ear ringing for over an hour.
