Mac, 16 month old B&G Macaw, has about 1/3 of the house set up for him!!
His large cage, which he is only in to sleep or if we are gone, is in my wife's craft room. (My wife works from home)
He has a large play perch in a section of the living room and a smaller perch in my wife's office.
ANYHOW, we are looking in to building a more versatile play area for him to hang out in. We've got a 6' X 8' area we are planning on turning in to his hang out.
anyhow planning on using sheet ABS plastic for walls framed in aluminum or stainless . I know a lot of bird food bowls are made from ABS but I was wondering if there would be an issue if Mac did find a way to chew on the walls. He plays with his food cups all the time.
We want it walled so he can use ladders and blocks to get down on the floor area, blocks will help keep his nails trimmed etc.
Thoughts or constructive ideas would be appreciated.
