He does step up but when i try to cuddle him he bites

Hey guys my bird has learned step up. I noticed he rubs his beak alot so i tried to to scratch it for him. He bit me he doesn't let me cuddle him. I tried this method but he bit me so hard..

Did you try going from the top like the video suggested? I do the same thing actually and go from the top of the beak and use a finger to hold the top of the beak. The method actually works cause I've been doing it for years like the video suggested....My goodness, YouTube offers everything now days....lol...I guess I should of made a video myself as well....

One thing is don't force yourself to cuddle with the parrot, it takes time! How long have you had the parrot? What kind is he?

To be honest cuddling and touching all over is something that has to be instituted from the chick stage. When breeders only ask that a bird steps up, which is common, it makes it hard down the road. It's not impossible, and if you should the bird that petting and cuddling are nice he will come around. Take your time, don't rush it and move slowly. Let him move at his own pace.
