Is having coloured wood something you really want?????? I don't colour mine just leave them natural. I'm sure we had a post talking about this somewhere I'll have a look for it. Or its something I've got saved. I'll take a look and post it later.

I, too, buy natural when available. When I do buy colored pieces, before being used they get sterilized in bleach dilute and run through the dishwasher at heated Pots & Pans setting ... end up coming out natural looking in the end! LOL

you can use sugar free koolaid although I've never tried it i think food coloring in water solution works as well but it won't stay colored the first time you run water over it to clean it.

I'm still looking for the link I had, its on a disc that I used when I was having probs with computer, I have so many discs  I also remembered why I use natural now, when hey had the coloured ones, they always had different coloured feet and faces. :D Looked kinda funny, but seemed to last a lot longer than the colour on the perches. :D

I know what you mean about liking to have lot's of colors in your birds cage. Think of all the colors in nature, and then they get stuck in a bland cage with no color...not fair :(

Anyway, check out this website http://www.vitacritter.com/index.htm

It's bird-safe coloring. The colors don't run, it's really easy to use and you can use it on wood or rope.

WOW, that is great, colouring that doesn't run.

Does it really work. I would love to see colours in there cage, but I had seeing all the colours run everywhere.

I've bookmarked that and I'll have to see about getting some. I'll get in touch with them to see if the deliver to the UK. :D
