I don't know, could be a blue-capped pionus but the beak is usually more orange-y. I thought maybe conure but the blue capped ones have a different looking beak again. Mealy amazons seem bigger than that and usually don't have an entirely blue head, just blue top of their head. So, the short answer, I don't know!

Thanks everyone! Now I know what the pretty birdie is I looked up more info. "One of the most well known and popular of the Pionus parrots, the Blue-headed Pionus are active, intelligent and inquisitive. Though they are not known to be the best talkers, they make up for this with their friendly disposition and fun antics. The Blue-headed Pionus is noted for its gentle nature and can become a very devoted pet, sometimes bonding fiercely to their owner. They are considered an excellent bird for a beginning parrot owner, and because they are generally calm and quiet, they are also a great pet for people who live in apartments or in close proximity to neighbors where noise can be a problem." Sure sounds like a great family member. I hope I get to meet one one day. :)

That is a blue-headed pionus. My vet has a blue-head pionus and Pie is a sweet bird. :)

My mom has a Guatemalan Mealy, which has the blue/lavender crown, and Mealy's are HUGE with red eyes. Mealys are one of the largest Amazons.
