So, even though I won't be needing any formula for about 3 weeks, I still want to get it before the babies hatch, just in case something happens that they need to be fed earlier. I'm hoping it doesn't come to that, but I want to be prepared just in case. I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, and I'm sure it has but I did a search and couldn't find anything so I'm going to ask anyway. What brand do you guys prefer for formula? I always used the zupreem formula but I just saw that lafebers makes some now too. Out of zupreem, kaytee, and lafebers, which is the best?

I've handfed lots of babies, these are just the first I've had actually born in my home. It seems like a lot of people recommend the kaytee formula which seems odd since kaytee seems to have kind of a bad rap when it comes to their seed diets.

Zupreem formula is pretty nice! I used to use Kaytee, they have a tendency to clump and I had more issue with them then Zupreem. Just make sure you don't mix the formula while the water is boiling hot. It WILL clump your formula!!!! And I mix it with a fork, it's very simple and easy to do!

I'd use what ever company's product you plan to use later as adult pellets. I feed Kaytee formula and wean on to Kaytee exact pellets. I think it helps with the weaning process to keep with the one brand. I've had good luck with the Kaytee Brands and won't change until i find a reason to.

I breed, Sun, Green Cheek, Black Capped and Crimson Bellied Conures. Also IRN's
Kaytee has way to many problems. I used it years ago but after many problems and talking to other breeders and my vet now I use Zupreem. I have had no problems with Zupreem. I also feed Zupreem pellets to the babies, my pets and breeders. Also not on formula but Zupreem has breeder pellets that i feed the breeders and feel this has really helped my birds as well.
