I'm interested if anyone has any information or even theories as to who this "Queen of Bavaria" was, who was so privileged to have such a STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL bird, Guaruba guarouba (also known as the Golden Conure), named after her.

Since Guaruba guarouba was first described by J. F. Gmelin in 1788, I think we can assume that this Queen of Bavaria reigned AFTER that date.

So, that leaves only 4 candidates...or does it?!?

I have a theory, but I'd like to read what others have to say first...
