Painting

I am thinking about painting in the near future. I have several rooms that need to be painted. Are there any paints out there that are safe to use around my birds? I really don't want to put their cages outside on our patio, but I also don't want to hurt them by staying indoors either. Any suggestions?

You can get low fume paints although with you being in America there's not a brand that I can personally recommend.

Paint one room at a time (kitchen day 1, bedroom day 2, etc), keep the room well aired and the birds in the opposite end (also aired) of the house. It's not 100% foolproof, but I haven't had an incident doing that yet.
