Sully-2 year old cinnamon and Bella-3 year old normal
breeding pair of gcc, Scooter & BeeBee-Sully and Bella's normal son's, Rosey- Bella and Sully's cinnamon daughter, Ella & Sunny-American budgies
I just got my new marvelous veranda bird cage for Sully and Bella today and when I put it together I noticed a chip in the powder coating about 2mm wide. It is on the outside of the cage and they aren't bar chewers so do you think it will be ok or should I return it and get a replacement? I was thinking since it isn't easily accessible and they don't chew on the bars I would just wait and see if it starts to rusts and then return it, does that sound like a good idea or is it just better to replace it now?
Any help is greatley appreciated, thanks.

Hi cdog. :) If the rust is on a bar they would usually grab onto to get to food, water, door, etc., I would watch it very closely and if it starts to spread, you may need to exchange it. :( If it was on the very bottom, top, or maybe directly under a perch you would put in, I wouldn't worry as much. Do make sure to check every while though. Not as much, just every other or three day(s).

It hasnt started rusting yet but it might rust faster.
Ok, yeah they can't really get to it as it is on the top right side panel next to he wall where they don't go so I think it will be ok.
I really love the cage, the bars are very sturdy, the powder coating(other than the chip) seems to be great and I love the two tone colors. The only downside is the bowls are smaller than what they are used to, not big enough to baths plus due to the design of the cup holder, they can't take a bath in it so I will have to put another bowl in for them.

The cage seems really nice! Oliver's water cup is too small as well, but he just showers in a bowl lol.
