training 2 parrots at the same time?

hi everyone

i never had bird pet before but i am very interested in having one. the pet store i went only sell in pairs and they are 2.5 years old. is it too hard for a beginner to train 2 parrot at the same time? should i get one or a pair? i also heard that it is harder to train a 2 yr old parrot? or should i wait till they get younger ones? :green::green1:

Birds sold in pairs are generally aviary birds & not hand-tame. You would be better off finding a breeder and getting a just-weaned hand-raised bird.

Oh yea! I have nestmates that are 4 years old that I got a few months ago. They bond with each other and they make twice the mess. They are also fairly disinterested in human interaction because they have each other for company. They also learn at different rates, and there is a big personality difference when they're separated. For a beginner, I would advise having only one.
