She is beautiful. We could not possibly put a price on her!

Its really more to the point whether you can cope with her! Have you had any experience with Zons? They can be very challenging!

Price depends on supply and demand according to your location. Here in Georgia prices range from $500-$900. Considering all the yellow, she isn't a young bird.

She is beautiful colours and I agree with merlee on saying she is an older bird due to how much yellow she has on her :)

When I first saw the picture, I thought older than 10. I have a yellow nape and he is 26 and doesn't even have half the amount the color. I wonder if she is a hybrid because I thought the yellow was found only around the back of the neck.

I would be more inclined to think she has a good genetics to be a mutation kinda like the red factor Greys. Yellow napes are one type of zon that is mutated commercially now similar to red African Greys. I would believe this could be that type almost like a yellow factor in this amazon I'll look more into it and get back to you. She is a beautiful, how is her temperament? With Any zon you should have experience, but epically with yellow napes through the rescue I work with yellow napes and blue fronts seem to be the most inclined to aggression so good zon knowledge would be advised. There are many zon lovers on thisforum and would be wiling to help you if you explained her, this would be very helpful as you'd be more prepared for the bird.

Ok sorry for the double post but I have went and looked through a bunch of different reputable websites I use to research. I can find nothing on why this girl has so much beautiful yellow on her. The only genetic that is found desirable is with more blue obviously to obtain the blue yellow nape. As well yellow napes are not one of the amazons that with age grow more color. This is seen more in double yellow heads, blue fronts, red loreds, green checks. It is not unseen in other zons but not as common. A user on here henpecked is great and has a ton of zon experience I'd be interested in his thoughts. This could be age related or just has a strong yellow gene. A double yellow head at the rescue I work with got a double yellow in only about 15yrs old and had Tons of yellow on the wings and chest so this could be the same case just has a strong yellow dominance.

So cut out my thoughts on a possible genetic mutation factor as I think that is probably not the case it may be but has no evidence to say so.

Please don't think about how much she is worth, if you want her as a pet that's great but don't buy her only to make a profit or use her as a breeder. Breeding birds isn't a bad thing, but not all birds will produce chicks. Buy her if you want her, not because you see a money maker.

She looks like the pied gene.
Here's a pied orange winged amazon

I'm not sure if she's pied or plucked, damaged /plucked zons will produce yellow feathers. What's she worth? Judging from the little info i have and what i gather from the picture and making a guess at the situation ,,, i'd say maybe 300 bucks if you wanted her bad. More important is why is she for sale, and how well do you know the owner. personally i wouldn't be interested.

It says in the rules that this isn't a site to be posting about buying and selling birds. Don't come to our community looking for posts like this so you can scoop up a bird for a "steal". Just inappropriate and not allowed. :)
