Furniture concern

I want to get a new couch and loveseat. Even though we throw an old blanket over it when the birds are on it.They still come in contact with it.I know I wont get any stain protection coating on it .But Im concerned if theres any sort of chemical on new fabiric furniture [ that could harm them]. Anyone have ideas on this?

If you specify no stain retardant & have the store enter that on your sales documents, you should be OK.....having them write it on your sales documents gives you an amount of legal leverage & I doubt they would assume that type of responsibility if there was a danger you were not aware of.....

If the store only offers a cash register tape, I might try a different store.....

To protect the arms, you might want to either order extra covers or have covers made. While my birds normally will only pick at the covering on the back oft the couch (large beach towels on mine), I have had a bird get interested in an arm cover.....
