I have wanted a black palm 'too for the longest time and I had to opportunity to
purchase one of these magnificent birds for $13,000. I was so tempted but chose not to because they need to be put in a well established breeding program, not privately owned. I have always wanted a kea as well. I semi-carnivorous alpine parrot is very intriguing. I also always wanted a kakapo, a kiwi, and a spix's macaw but i know i'll be holding onto that dream for a while. :p

A ducorps/solomon island cockatoo.

I would also like a Meyers or another Senegal for Merlin. But definitely a ducorps too again. I fell in love with the one I had for a few weeks and apparently they're all just as awesome as he was (exceptions to the rule obviously!) and I'd love another again.

I don't want a large flock, just a little one. I don't need extravagance fancy birdies. Just a pal for my monkeybutt Merlin and a ducorps... (or two!)

Male blue eclectus. I really want a eclectus, but a blue eclectus, now that would be awesome.

I'd also love a hyacinth macaw, but something about a fist size beak makes me nervous.

On the other end of the spectrum a pygmy blue face parrot would be cool. Don't know how readily available they are in the trade though.(nevermind, They don't make it in captivity):(

Nice choices everybody! I was surprised to not see any of the new zealand parrots on any posts. I think they are fine birds :D

Well if ANY bird was an option I'd go with a sparrow hawk or pygmy hawk.

I have always been amazed by macaws, but they're huge beaks are pretty scary!! Now, if I ran into one that was extremely social and I knew biting wasn't an issue I'd definitely be tempted.

I used to have a neighbor with a couple dozen peacocks; standard colored and white morphs. They had a habit of strutting their stuff in the middle of the road lol they didn't care about cars and you'd just have to wait for them to mozy away..

ah dream birds LOL
One day I would like to buy a young macaw specifically for free flight training, either a yellow dominant hybrid macaw, blue and gold, or a green wing.

Another dream bird of mine is the Harris hawk. My friend has one and he's awesome! out of all his raptors this dude is my favorite. If I ever got a Harris I would also have a red tailed hawk, as that's the bird I want for my apprenticeship when I'm financially able to afford the expensive hobby.

Here he is hanging out on my hand

My ULTIMATE dream bird would be the red tailed black cockatoo, I really want one of these but I probably never will

I would love an african grey but am too old.I would also love to have scarlet macaws but I am well aware I couldnt handle the noise.I think having a crow would be awesome.Ive wanted a crow since I was just a kid.
Im pretty happy with what I have now.I never thought I would ever have a Sun conure and I do. I also want a whiteface cockatiel, thats doable.

:) They're not rare where I come from! There's a flock of about a hundred that deafens us twice a day, every day. They're gorgeous birds, though, and hilariously funny to watch as they do acrobatics on the power lines. We also get the ordinary White Corellas as well as SC Cockatoos. Not so many Galahs these days, though. Dunno why...

I would really like one more bird, and I have been steadily debating between a Galah Cockatoo, a Cockatiel, or another Poi.

A Galah would be my dream bird. Macaw's are too large for me, Greys are potentially too emotional, and I've never met a Zon that liked me. I would have a Galah in a heart beat if they were not so rare and expensive here. A local bird store has a brother and sister Galah, and I adore the little boy, such sweet and charming birds. I'll have one someday, when I am ready for one.
