Why does my bird fly and flap in cage while the cover is on?

So it's for the third time, I hear my parrot fly and flap his wings in his cage when he has the cover on, by the morning time. When I remove the cover, he stops it.
He never does this, except these times in the morning and I wonder why..
Possible a phobia?

He could perhaps just be telling you "Time to wake up, take the cover off." :)

If he doesn't flap and go crazy when you cover him in the evening, I don't think it's a phobia.

What time do you cover him and uncover him? If the cover lets through light, and your bird knows it's light outside, he may just want the cover removed so that he can see better.

It's a thick cover so I cover 3/4 the cage to he can have a bit of air. He does see the light but sometimes I let the cover on for a longer time and he does nothing.

I put the cover on at like 10 PM and remove it at 9 AM but today he woke me up at 8:30 flapping.I guess you discovered the secret, he is probably calling me to remove the cover ! :)
