I am trying to decide between a African Grey and a blue fronted Amazon.
I was hoping you guys could help me compare and contrast them. I have not owned either one.

Thank you for your help :)

And pair of African Greys
I own an African Grey (or owned by it, depends on whom you ask).
She is wonderful companion, clever and funny, very energetic and demanding.
Don't have experience with Amazons, so couldn't help you with it.

I believe this is like comparing Apples and Oranges, lol.

I'm an Amazon person. I just LOVE their personality. :D

My GF has had her CAG for over 20 years, and she is SUCH a smart girl. I swear, when I look at her, I can almost see what she is thinking. Mostly that would be "You're close enough...BACK OFF". :54:

I think Bluefronts are one of the hot 4 that can get down right nasty with you when hormonal. But I can't swear to that. henpecked would probably one to give good advice on Amazons.

"African Grey vs. Blue Fronted Amazon"

Sounds like an MMA cage match! (pun intended)

(MMA = Mixed Martial Arts, where people with growing numbers of deceased brain cells beat the stuffing out of each other!)

I think they have more hormonal aggression than greys.

Totally agree. Like Wendy, it's hard to compare as such and also because I to am an amazon owner, my aunt has a grey, he's playful, incredible mimic, never heard it scream where as my BF does most days for a bit.
Not much help I know but my 2cents worth :)
