Right so... heres a little background on the situation...
I have worked as an animal trainer in film and television here in NZ for almost 9 years..
Work has slowly been dying off due to how good CGI is these days,
Its left me workless for months at a time.
Now I have just had a job offer as a restaraunt manager with an incentive of owning a % of the buisness...
The catch is i have to move 5 hours north and the 1st 3 months i will be put up in accomodation paid for by the majority share owner..

I have a sun conure... who can be incredibly loud... it doesn't bother me but i dont think motels allow noisy animals.. or even animals full stop.

Cuba gets along with my brother and i know he would be ok with him, do you think that 3 months with him until i have sorted out my own place would be ok...

Ive never been in this situation,

Hayden

Go for it.....our birds are more resilient than we tend to give them credit for.....

Until about 18 months ago, my birds saw more of my bird sitter than they did me, though I did make a couple of DVDs and CDs that she played for them and when I called, I would do so while she was there & she'd put me on speaker phone.....

Don't worry, Cuba won't forget you, though you might get a nip or two...his way of saying about time you showed up.....my Patagonian was the worst for that, but she would get over it.....understand that I was gone up to six months at a time, before getting back home.....

Good luck.....

Yea im sure he will be fine..
Just a littl concerned in trusting someone to look after cuba..
I dont have a schedule but i free fly him outside every 2nd day.

Its just such a great opportunity..
He is the only reason im tossing things up haha

Well, I have a very good bird sitter, though she doesn't care for the flock as much now, but if you trust your brother, go for it, though I'm not sure I would trust him with free flight...and you might have to do some catch-up work on that when you are back together, but other than that, you'll both survive......mine did for seven years of me being little more than a passing noise for a week or two at a time.....

Well, i took the job, i move to the hawkes bay here in NZ in 3 weeks!!
And the best part is Cuba is coming with me from day 1, instead of leaving him behind he is going to be staying at my employers place (2mins down the road) in the spare room, so i can still go and see him everyday!!
