I wanted to get some ideas as to what I can put inside a foraging wheel. The one I have isn't very user friendly, and I actually have to open it up with a screwdriver. So far all I've put into it are pistachios and seeds while I transitioned my Panama Amazon off the seed diet he arrived on.

The openings to the wheel are only large enough for him to put his beak through, so I don't think any toys will work.

I'm open to any suggestions! Gotta get him completely off these blasted seeds.

Kenji has a foraging wheel too, I use almonds, roudybush pellets, nutri-berries, bountiful harvest, and various nuts in his wheel. I also stuff his wheel with paper, it makes it much more challenging for him. Without the paper he would have it cleaned out in around 10 minutes!

I don't mind having to use a screw driver, it makes it easier to place the paper and treats for me. My only thing is I have to make sure it's super tight, or he can unscrew it LOL
