How Quickly does your bird get bored of toys?

Jenga seems to either destroy them within 24 hours OR she grows bored of them in a few days.

Those of you who have babies like this, do you just keep rotating them? Does your bid become interested in them again when they get their rotation back in the cage?

Thanks!

My bird doesn't ever play with his toys, he only plays with things he's not supposed to. But he really likes chewing on bottle caps and he never gets bored of those.

Bottle caps ya say...

Plastic ones, right? Like soda and water bottles? Good idea!

Jenga LOOOOOVES vine balls, but she destroys them in a matter of hours. I would literally have a buy a new one everyday... (i'm at every other other day now lol)

I would never give my birds plastic bottle caps....I can just see them chewing them and something else will go wrong....too risky for me or any bird for that matter...sorry guys, don't mean to rain on your parade, just my opinion.

Percy starts ignoring non-shreddable toys (which last a max of two days) within a week. Luckily though, sometimes I can get away with just hanging the "boring" toy in a different spoit ;)

I use the caps from (i think it's Pure leaf iced tea) the quart sized bottles have large hard plastic caps that are pretty thick.

My guys love them and play with them and throw them. Have not seen any places that they are making headway in chewing them up.

As far as boredom, my G2 never gets bored, every day is a new day to him. the toys are good until they are reduced to the least common denominator.

Our grey could care less about most toys at this point. Working on that.

My guys do enjoy having their toys rotated. They always have their favorites, and the ones they stop playing with go into their box to be exchanged at a later date with another toy they lose interest in. They are almost always playing with the toys again when reintroduced:)

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
Very much depends on the toy... (and how they play with it. Especially during breeding season. Don't rotate THAT toy out.)

There are some toys that I have had, and have been refilling with new wood products for over a decade...

Others are nothing more than cage decor.

She gets bored pretty easily, but she is also more nervous than not so I've been apprehensive to switch out her toys constantly, but I think I'll have to come up with a system to consistently be getting her used to new ones so she can keep an influx!

my darling lovebird
like- in an hour. when i hang it in his cage, hes all like "omg, this is so awsome, gush, gush, gush" and he plays with it continuously for an hour, stopping only for water, and then he gets bored, and hes back to staring at people. i dont what to do with this guy. sometimes if i give the toys a little push, or ring the bells, he will come over and chew it, and go away. moving them around dusnt work. he knows its the same thing anyways. smart guy!! :p

My guy get bored within I agree a hour. I have a lot of those SMART toys and once he has worked them out he don't bother with them anymore and plays with a banksia nut or something basic like a egg carton lol
He loves toilet rolls and I've bought him some fairly expensive toys but that's like kids at xmas they play with the box not the toy...
