Is this space heater safe for birds?

I use an older version of that I do believe. At least they look almost exactly alike!

That's an oil-filled heater. Oil-filled heaters are bird safe (no fumes) but they do get hot so you have to make sure the bird can't touch them. Ditto for ceramic heaters.


Are you sure? That's what I've heard, but apparently some of them contain tefflon.

Nathan- I have two ceramic heaters-both are safe.
One is in my bird room, the other is in our bedroom.
Because I have the doors closed continuously, the rooms don't heat up and stay warm as they should.

they have automatic switch offs and run 24/7

I've been using them for years, with no effects.

One is a Classic, the other is a Honeywell.

I ran both for 24 hours prior to setting them up in the rooms.
