. . hi, i'm looking for some advice on pairing two ringnecks, i've got them together in seperate cages, the male seems he wants to be with her, but when i put him in the cage he tried to bite her, any advice anyone . .

You need to keep the cages right next to each other for a little while (maybe a week), and see how they react. This is how they can get to know one another. You don't want to move them in the same cage for awhile, that's a very big step and should be taken later on.

Do you want them to breed or play together? They could play together outside of the cages. Breeding is a whole other world to get into and you needs lots and lots of parrot knowledge. Besides there are literally hundreds and hundreds of other birds in need of homes. Please give it some serious thought.

Hi, I've just started breeding budgies. I had a successful clutch earlier this year. Before that I researched for a year and a bit. But as you've already bred budgies and finches, well, from what I've heard breeding the bigger parrots is much harder. I wish you all the best. Be careful as to how you introduce them. Keep the cages in sight and gradually move them closer, then while supervising let them in together.
I hope no one is offended but I need to express a personal opinion here. If bird breeders would volunteer in bird shelters where birds are waiting to be adopted you would think twice about bringing more baby birds in to the world. I do volunteer and am constantly reminded of all the homeless birds. Not all have issues either.

usually its the other way around and the females are nasty to the males. i had a pair of greys and they got along great together but i know that not always the case.

i love birds all my life, i love breeding them, i'm very devoted, my home is all ready like an pet shop, don't need to worry about me, thanks for the advice . .
