- Blue & Gold Macaw [Maya] // Sun Conure Baby [Zippo] // 2 Lovebirds [Nibblet & Nellie]
Ok so my little Sun Conure Chewbacca is just so adorable!!! His brother is cute too but Chewie takes the cake. He is my new best friend and my B&G loves looking at him (From a distance) She puffs up her feathers, rocks and talks alooot and she will baby talk him, like i baby talk her LOL. He is just toooo cute!!
I have a question. I've bred alot of birds, and sold alot of birds, What is the best way to deal with sore baby's due to pin feathers.
Should i just let them fall off naturally or should i help a little like i do with my B&G Macaw, (I spend hours at a time "Preening" her neck and head, taking off the "Plastic" that is ready to be shed)
Its prolly too early to help atm, im talking about later on down the line.
It's Sooooooo hard to only handle him for like 15 mins a day besides feedings. He's just too little to be cuddled much. Don't want anything to happen to him, He's in a tank with 4 lovebirds and his brother sun conure "Boba Fett"
What age do you guys usually start handling your babies regularly to begin bonding and playing. He is 3ish weeks atm, i was thinking around 5 weeks? is that too early? could i start earlier?
He is VERY Hyper, and attentive. His brother is really lax, but he gets into his toy ball and stuff already, he explores the tank, and he runs to the syringe when i feed him. hes so rambunctious!
I only hold him for like 15 minutes per day besides feeding him, i dont want him to get cold or sick. Its hard cause i want so bad to snuggle him all the time!
Here are some pic's i took 10 mins ago
