Hey,

So today I got a look at my lovebirds band. It reads 'AAA AK 08 002' I googled and the only way to de-code a band is to find the association the band was registered with. If says that it'll be the first letters, but I don't know any association by the name 'AAA'!

Anyone know of any? I know it's unlikely she's registered, but I think she may be. Her previous owners got her from a breeder.

D'oh.

Just did some more googling and 'AAA' stands for the initials of the breeder/aviary. She's not registered. Oh well.

There's a good chance the AK stands for Alaska & if you were to contact one of the Alaskan bird groups/clubs, they might be able to help you, if you don't get a contact suggestion around here.....

Good luck.....
