There is a spotted dove in my backyard and it looks like it has an injured foot. It can walk, but in very small steps with some stumbles. I put out some seeds and I got about 1 metre close to it and I could see that it was standing on one foot, I also noticed that it was missing feathers on the back of its neck, I don't know if that is relevant, but it could have been attacked. The foot that the dove was holding up didn't have any visible wounds. It is also poofy and kind of scruffy looking. It just flew onto my house's roof and it didn't have a lot of trouble climbing up to the top.
I just want to know if it will be able to recover easily. Is there anything that I can do to help it?
Thank you :)

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I lack experience with wild birds, but in the U.S. many cities have a volunteer wildlife rescue service. Occasionally they are partnered with a private or public animal shelter.

Not sure what is available in Australia. The fact it is able to fly despite abnormal indications may lower the interest level from expert help.
