I let my friend cut my lovebirds flight feathers and....

I don't think they are going to grow back. He was probably 2 years old at the time and now its been about 8 months and still they have yet to molt. My parrot didn't like it, and neither did I. Although my friend "insisted" it was a good thing to do.

Will they grow back? Why haven't I seen them come back in yet? :41:

Your bird's feathers will not grow back until his feathers molt again.....the only way feathers will not molt again is if the feather's follicle is damaged and just cutting/trimming a feather's shaft does not damage the follicle.....lovebirds normally molt twice a year, so if you figure about six months from his last molt, you'll have an idea as to when new feathers should show up.....
