I have a little male turquoisine (the rainbow one) and a female kakariki (the yellow and green one with the red head).

I am stuck between 2 sets of names.

Turq - Merlin
Kak - Zelda
(Like Merlin from Sword in the Stone, and Legend of Zelda)

Or

Kak - Merry
Turq - Pippin
(Like from Lord of the Rings)

The Turq is a more fragile bird so if god forbid he dies, the name Merry sounds odd on it's own... I don't know. I'm just indecisive. What do you guys think??

Or can you think of another fantasy name to go with Merlin that starts with an M or just chimes well with it? I really can't figure out what to name them hehe

I like Merry and Pippin.

I like merlin, but the redhead looks like a Lucy to me :) Zelda is cool as well.

I like Merry and Pippin.

Thanks! I'm glad they get along. :) It was a risk I was willing to take but I researched pretty well beforehand. They have a nice spacious cage too which helps

Oh WOW!! Those are such beautiful birds. I've never ever seen anything like them.

Thanks!!! I love exotic birds. The Kakarikis are native to New Zealand but are endangered there. They are also found in Australia where the Turquoisines are native to. Wild birds for sure but cute and sweet once tame. Just takes time

Husband said to call the other Raspa and I told him you and where you live it may not be understood like it is here in Texas. A Raspa is a snow cone, or a cup of shaved ice with syrup, very colorful and sweet. Your birds are so beautiful, Sprinkles comes to mind too, lol. I like Merlin too.
