New bed - transition?

Kiki (2yr old GCC) came with a fluffy/cuddle bed that she has had all her life. She loves it. It wasn't until I got on this forum that I realized said material could be hazardous to her! :O

I've been watching and while it doesn't look like she is mowing down on it she def picks at it and there is often green fluff at the bottom of her cage. So it looks like I need to find her a new bed - what material should I look for and how should I transition the new bed to her?

My conure doesn't pick at her tent, but alternatively you could find a tent that has a perch and is covered from the top like any of the ones listed here at MSBS:

Any tent or hut that isn't made with a 'fuzzy' fabric should be fine. Smooth fleece is okay, fluffy fleece is not. Take a look on Etsy, there are often reasonably priced safe huts in a variety of unique colors and patterns.

If you are worried about the transition; try to match the colors of you can. If not, you can keep both in there for a day or two with the new one then move the old one out. Espresso had a toy that she had her whole life (20 years) that had painted beads and horrible things on it; I just gradually made changes to it and the removed it completely.
