So I have a senegal parrot called Patrick. He is nearly a year old and has become fairly tame, he obeys commands (mostly) such as recall and step up. This is limited to using a perch because he isn't yet comfortable with hands. That being said he does allow us to stroke/scratch him frequently.
The problem we're having is he wants to bite fingers all the time. Also when playing he tends to go for the fingers as opposed to the toy, this also seems to be true of nuts.
I am trying to pressure train him by allowing him to bite my fingers but telling him when it is too hard.
I don't think this is working and would prefer he didn't bite.

Anyone have any advice on how to stop him biting/lunging as much?

Thanks
