Bird won't stay out of kitchen

I live in a small apartment and since introducing foraging to my Quaker I now can't keep him from exploring. The issue with this is that he is now obsessed with the kitchen and I don't know how to keep him out. I have tried putting up a room divider but he's learnt that he can just walk under it.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to train him to not go into the kitchen? I'm concerned that he will either eat something he shouldn't or land on something hot etc.

Possibly a playstand with LOTS of things to do? You can make some pretty intricate ones at home that cost WAY less then store bought ones. I would just suggest adding in some foraging toys there with plenty of treats so he'll learn that staying there = treat time.

Other than that, maybe putting him back in his cage for a few minutes when he decides to try go under then letting him out again.

Lock him in his cage while your cooking in the kitchen! Always better to have him temporarily upset he's locked up than for him to land in a boiling pot.

Thanks guys, He's got a playstand with forraging toys and food but apparently that's not as interesting as the kitchen (even if I go get food from the kitchen and put it on there for him)

Most of the time he is going in when we aren't even in there or cooking, if he does try to come in while we're cooking I put him in his cage to be safe.

We've currently added some more barriers in front of the room divider curtain which should stop him for a day or so until he finds a way over them.
