help seed stuck on lucy

good morning, yesterday i gave my budgie lucy unsweetened applesauce which she loved. then she sent to her seeds and now she has a seed stuck on her little nose. she does not let me hold her and will only let me touch her occassionally. how do i get it off. been on since last nite. i thought she would get it off herself, but still there. help please any information appreciated.

update----seed is off. yeah!!!!!. i read on another blog to mist with warm water and it should fall off while lucy it cleaning herself. it worked now im a happy mommy.

It's fun watching you learn about your new budgie. Have you discovered millet sprays yet? It's budgie crack. They'll do anything for it. Use in moderation.

omg i was just getting on to ask how much millet spray is to much. i have been giving her a little everyday, and she is at the clip looking for it now. i was very happy that she ate unsweetened applesauce this morning again. she has not really been eating much for fruits or veggie but does like carrot tops. :greenyellow:

Try kale! I find the birds Ive had will almost always eat anything leafy that they can shred to bits because it's fun

i will get some this afternoon. i have tried lettuce but she doesnt show interest in it. am i giving her to much millet spray by giving her some everyday. i dont want my budgie---- budgie lol.

Also just keep offering a variety of foods. She will eventually start eating more. When I got mine they wouldn't eat anything. Now they eat carrots, rice, spinach, lettuce, cauliflower and a few other things. They prefer cooked. We are having rice and corn cereal for breakfast.

i will pick up some of the others you mentioned also. i appreciate all your advice as im such a worry wort over her. but today i do feel less nervous about her. she has been real silly all morning and chripping away and playing with some of her toys finally. cant wait for her to let me actually give her a little kiss. :greenyellow:
