Hi everyone,
Kyo's living room/ outside deck cage finally arrived today! Super happy that I can take her out to hang out on our deck comfortably now (it's 22 by 17 by 55)! That said, this may be a dumb question but I'm going to ask anyways.

If she is in her cage in the shade, will she still benefit from UVB light? Does it have to be super sunny out or can I take her out on overcast days (in NS this is the norm)?

Sorry for the silly questions >< Just want to make sure I don't make a mistake.:green2:

It's all about whether or not UVA/UVB rays are penetrating the material that produces shade. You can sit under an umbrella all day and still get sunburned. The UV rays do go through clouds (I personally have tanned on overcast days in low temperature weather), as well as leaves, etc.

So in short, yes, if she's in the shade and it's not created by a lead awning, she'll benefit. :)
