I just got this one yesterday. I havent opened the box yet. I got mine because when Gollum is done eating, she turns around and faces the other way and poops in her bowl. I am hoping this will keep her from being able to do that. However, it looks like you would have to put a lot of food in there for her to be able to reach it.... IDK we will see[ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AOJM6MM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00]Amazon.com : Creative Foraging Systems+E487 Seed Corral No Mess Pet Feeder : Pet Bird Feeders : Pet Supplies[/ame]

Seems like a lot of money for a feeder. What are you currently using to give Bella food in?

Umm I'm bringing her home today so she'll be eating from the bowls in her cage. Ill wait to see how she eats. If she is a super messy eater I'm considering I'm getting one

I've heard of them, but trust me, parrots will make a huge mess regardless if the have a fancy acrylic feeder. Kiwi often takes food in-beak (appears quite difficult for him) over to his swing just so it will fall on the floor:rolleyes:

I'd invest in a good dust buster or shop vac instead:54: It'll probably be much more useful in keeping the food mess down!

I wouldn't bother investing tons of money in a feeder, parrots are messy by nature, and even seem to go out of their way to make messes for us human slaves.

As April (Kiwibird) said about her parrot, my Zilla also takes food from her bowls and carries it to wherever she wants to sit and eat it. Sometimes that is just to the top perch of her cage and sometimes it's to the top branch of her "tree" and lately it's the play top on our new additions cage!

Yea I think it's a waste. Just get a few extra bowls (I have crocks too) to switch out and clean.

For parrots those things do not matter. I do have one on angels cage, and also a bowl inside the cage.

They will just take the food outside of the feeder and eat it whever they want to. I wouldn't count on your bird keeping its head stuck inside the feeding while they eat it. They like to grab with their foot and nibble as they go. They won't do that keeping head inside. I know this from experience :)
