What type of bird is this?

Hi! I'm a new parrot owner and not quite sure what type of bird I have. The person who gave the bird to me said it was a parrotlet, but looking at pictures, it appears to me to look more like a lovebird. So, I'm asking the experts, what do you think? Either way, he/she is already loved member of our family. Thanks for your input!

Re: What type of bird is this?

I appreciate the feedback and thanks for confirming my assumption. The bird is very sweet and adapting well to his new family and environment although a little bit cage bound. I'm looking forward to building a strong relationship with my new lovebird!
