uploadfromtaptalk1443829777421.jpg just wondering if this blend of adzuki beans mung beans lentils and fenugreek would be OK to feed our birds? I have never heard of fenugreek or adzuki beans before.

Sure is. I wouldn't know where to get fenugreek from but I have mung beans, adzuki beans, and lentils sprouting as we speak. Along with quinoa, chick peas, split peas, and spelt.

I'm not sure what fenugreek is, but I feed all the others. Chick peas are a favorite for every eclectus that I have ever met :)

What's your secret for chickpeas, silvrrsage? I'm lucky if 25% of mine sprout before they turn really slimy and go bad after a few days. And I hang my head in shame as I'm a former greenhouse production horticulturist, so you'd think id be better at that!

Don't feel bad Chris, I grow everything for my birds and this was the worse year ever for bumper crop. Darn bugs were awful this year and ate practically any thing before I could pick it. Sprouts are done indoors, and doing ok, Chickpeas....I can't get them right either.

Soak for at least 12 hours, and rinse like a fiend! Like 4-5 times a day. I seriously rinse them every time I think about them. They are the ones who always go bad first.
