Red Bellied Babies

Hello,

Last month I went into a bird store and found my green cheek. While I was hand feeding her everyday, I came across two red bellied babies who were not hand fed or used to human contact. The owner explained she got them from a breeder and I could work with them and if it was a good fit, I could purchase them. She essentially stated because they are not used to human contact it might be better for them to go separately because they were so young (6 months) so they could warm up to their humans. After weeks of working with one of them, he is used to being touched and loves attention. The other one however, just became extremely aggressive and tries to fly away out of fear. They do depend on each other however and it is evident when ever I put the nice one back in the cage with the fearful one. She did separate them, but they are in cages right next to each other and it has been this way for the last week or so.

I'm taking one of them home tomorrow. I'm fearful that it will do more harm than good to keep them away from each other.

Also, the owner stated she will not sell the other one until it is somewhat socialized and can sit with someone without going completely bonkers. So, I am not really sure what to do.

My thought was maybe to continually work with the fearful one until he is ready to go and then purchasing him and bringing home and him and his brother could share the cage like they did before. I just don't know what to do really.

Sorry it is so long. I would really appreciate some help!
