I picked up a cockatiel 4 weeks ago. It had no tail feathers and I was told it was because he was too young and they haven't grown in yet. He was in a tiny cage and it looked like two tail feathers had broken off. I figured the cage was so small that his tail kept getting stuck and probably ripped/broke his feathers off. It has now been 4 weeks and I see no new growth from the day we got him. Is it possible that there could be something wrong and he will never grow a tail? I read that blood feathers will appear in 10 days and fully grow out in 8-10 weeks so I figured there would be some growth after 4 weeks. Thank you.
