I had no idea you could tell by sight. But it looks like you'd need to know what to look for and have a good eye. I know nothing about this breeder, just posting this page for sexing info.

Its hard to tell from pics but the boys have a much bigger broader beak than the girls the yellow one does look like a boy in the pic and the green one does look like a girl but you look at the beak as pics can be deceiving ...these are my very favourite type of parakeet I love them they are full of fun and grow so friendly ...your birds are Gorgeous

I cant say from that pic but if you yourself take a look at the beaks and the male beak is remarkably bigger and broader than the female beak if the two beaks are similar then you have two of the same sex

This might help clarify the difference for you

It's hard to tell by the pics IMO. Since you are there in person looking at them, that is better than any picture. I would take what it said in the link I gave you, and see if you can tell any difference. Do you see that one looks bigger and brighter in the head than the other? Of course, DNA sexing would be the most accurate.

Can you send a very clear good close up of a side profile of the head of both of them. Im not promising as Im not a breeder but I have had both a boy Kakariki called Peanut and a girl called Cricket and the male and female have very different beaks

When you say talks alot do you nean words or Kakariki chatter as its the male mainly in the Kakariki who picks up lots of words but that said the beak on the bird in your pic doesnt to me look heavy or broad enough to be a male...bear in mind I am no expert but I am including here a link to a pic of a male beak...see the difference that said your birds head is tilted a little and not as strong a side profile as the one in the pic...if you compare the pic with how your bird looks when you get a good side profile then you will see clearly whether he is a boy or a girl ...hope this helps

The second pic does look like a possible male beak but also the stance looks like it could be male...I think that possibly is a male...how old are they...they are beautiful birds...can you see how heavy that beak is at the top near the eyes under the nares and how broad it is too...thats what a males beak is like...now while pics can be deceiving you are looking at them and able to observe the difference but the male beak will be broader and heavier than your little green hens beak

Are you planning to breed your beautiful Kakarikis? If so, a DNA test will make your efforts so much easier! If not, their sex may be unimportant if they get along well. Most of us love our birds dearly regardless of sex or even knowledge of their identity.

I am not looking to breed i just want them to get along in the future and birdigirl if that pied kakakiki picture you showed me is a male then mine looks very similar to it should be male but last question are the green ones bigger in sizes then the yellow and pied ones?

The male is usually bigger than the female but I had a female that was bigger than a pied male but usually the males are larger...if they are females they will get along okay as you have had them together now for some time getting on is not a problem, equally so if they are male and female ...they may even nest and sit on eggs but of course if they are two females you wont have any chicks...they breed a lot...in fact its difficult to get them to stop laying eggs ...they are wonderful parakeets to have ...they are so pretty to look at and so pleasant to listen to I always imagine they sound like little dolphins when they sing and they have such Great characters : real curious and full of fun and they are pretty friendly too once they discover you mean them no harm. If you have a male and female you will need to read up on how to take care of them when they nest and what to do if they have babies etc... its always better to be prepared than to be surprised ...perhaps the breeder you got them from could help advise you.
