None, at the moment, but in the past we had a peach faced lovebird called Baby, and we currently have 4 chickens
I would love to experience working with parrots in some capacity to help me decide what kind of bird would be right for me. I've babysat cockatiels and an African grey, but I would like to meet more birds.

I've tried to find rescue centres and sanctuaries, but the only ones I've found are too far away to be practical. There's be in Clare, which doesn't have a website, and there's an exotic pet rescue centre in Meath (although they don't have any parrots at the moment). I would love to know if anyone knows of any aviaries or pet shops that deal with birds regularly around Kildare, Carlow or Dublin which would be willing to offer work (even voluntary work would be good). Many thanks!

Did you try Copsewood Aviaries...I dont know a whole lot about them except that they have a lot of parrots...they are too far away from me to visit so check thrm out and see what you think . If you google them you will get a map and contact details. Have you tried Dublin Zoo ?

I'll give Copsewood Aviaries a go :D I have applied to Dublin Zoo before for voluntary work, but they didn't have any room. I don't think they have a huge range of parrots anyway. It'll probably be somewhere I apply to work after I graduate though!

I know there are some parrots (mostly macaws, I believe) at Fota Wildlife Park, but that's probably too far for you as well. I will ask some of my friends who live in Ireland if they know of any places also. :)
