Can anyone give me advice on how to set up a brooder
I have a glass fish tank that I have used before which is great for the job although this time I can not use my hot plate ( broken ) like I did last time
would a standard house light above them keep them warm ir what other suggestions also what could I do for heating overnight
he will be approx 6 weeks old and is already getting feathers thru but it's just the one by himself so warmth will be extra important
I will give him a Teddy for comfort and warmth also but any extra ideas greatly appreciated
cheers Jesse

Ps : alexandrine parrakeet for those who want to know

I use a heating pad on medium setting under 1/2 of the tank. Cover the cage with a towel and leave about 1 inch open. He should be moving to a cage soon.

Please explain this heating pad ?
Would this be similar to what you can buy for lizards under the sand ?
I did see a small pet electric blanket but they were extremely pricey
